Three Major Reports to Guide Us

Jason Shea of the Army Corps of Engineers has sent us his report on how he might help us to better mangage the lake system

Larry Eichler, a consultant on lake ecology and structure (Limnologist), has taken some core samples to help us evaluate possible solutions to sediment problems in Little Lake. View his report and presentation. In his list of potential disadvantages he paid only passing comment on the potential near destruction of the lakes' environment and its devastating affect on matrine life. He also did not mention the real possibility of permanently flipping the lakes from their present clear water states into turgid, algae-filled ponds. This had been previously pointed out by Neil Kamman, the State's limnologist, in his presentation in 2008.

Report on our Weed Control Program

Aquatic Control Technologies is our contractor for application of herbicides. They have just provided this report for 2009. Please also see our section on milfoil control

Neil Kamman's Presentation to LSCA Fall 2008

Mr. Kamman is the Limnologist for the Agency of Natural Resources of the State of Vermont. He gave this presentation on the history and current conditions of the Little Lake and also made references to the entire Lake System. He explained where we came from and where we are going in terms of the ecology of the entire system. The report was extremely interesting to all residents.
